  1. 01Within 2 business days

    We read your form

    Camp leaders read your form and reply by email.

  2. 02

    You get a registration link

    We email you a link. New staff create a staff account. Returning staff log in to their account.

  3. 03

    You get your clearances

    Three clearances, including a PA State Police background check, an FBI fingerprint check, and a ChildLine child abuse history check. We email you how to get them.

  4. 04

    You train with the team

    Join staff training before campers arrive. Then it is camp week in July.

Which path is yours?

New, returning or not yet 18

  1. New staff

    Send the form. When we email you the registration link, create your staff account and start your clearances.

  2. Returning staff

    Welcome back. You have priority until 1 February. Send this form each year, then log in to your staff account.

  3. Under 18

    This form is for volunteers who will be 18 or older at camp. Teens with diabetes can join our Counselor-in-Training program, or call the office at (570) 524-9090.

  4. After 1 February

    New staff fill the places that are left after returning staff, so send your form early.

  5. Health care volunteers

    Nurses, doctors, residents and dietitians usually talk with our Medical Director or Head Dietitian first. Send the form too, so we have your details.

  1. About you

    • Will you be 18 or older at camp?

    • Your name, address, email and phone number.

  2. The roles you want

    • Pick any roles in the counseling, administration and health care teams. You can choose more than one.

    What does each role do?

  3. Your camp

    • Harrisburg Diabetic Youth Camp (HDYC), for campers ages 7–13, or Camp Setebaid, for campers ages 13–17. Both are in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, in July 2027.

  4. Anything else

    • Your questions or comments for the camp team.

    • We use your answers only to plan camp staff and to contact you. Read our privacy policy.
