Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website. If any part of it is hard to use, tell us, and the office will help you another way.
Our goal
Setebaid wants every family, camper, volunteer and donor to be able to use this website. That includes people who use a screen reader, screen zoom, voice control or only a keyboard.
This website aims to meet version 2.2 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, known as WCAG, at level AA. The World Wide Web Consortium publishes these guidelines. They explain how to build websites that people with disabilities can use. They also make a site easier for everyone to use on a phone or a slow connection.
We say "aims to meet" because we have not finished a full test of the new site yet. When the test is done, we will update this page with the results.
What we built into the site
We built the site with the features below. We are still checking each one on every page.
- Plain language, short sentences, and headings that say what each part of a page is about.
- Text that you can enlarge to 200% with your browser's zoom without losing any content.
- Strong color contrast between text and its background.
- Every link, button and form works with a keyboard alone. A visible outline shows where you are on the page.
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page, so keyboard and screen reader users can go past the menu.
- A label on every form field, and error messages that say what to fix.
- Text descriptions for photos that carry meaning, so a screen reader can read them out.
- Less movement on the page when the "reduce motion" setting on your device is on.
- Captions on our camp videos (Setebaid to confirm).
Parts we do not control
Some parts of this site come from other companies. They run their own systems, and we cannot change how those systems work.
- Camp Brain, where you register a camper and give a gift online.
- Eventbrite and RunSignUp, where you buy event tickets and sign up for events.
- Bunk1, where you send camp mail and see photos while your child is at camp.
- Videos and maps that load from other websites.
- Some older PDF files, such as forms and manuals.
If one of these is hard to use, call the office. We can help you by phone, or send you the same information another way.
Get help another way
Our office can help you register a camper, give a gift or sign up for an event. We can also send you a document in another format, such as large print or plain text that a screen reader can read.
- Call the office at (570) 524-9090.
- Email us at info@setebaidservices.org.
- The office answers the phone Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time.
To read about registration first, see our Register page. For our mailing address and other ways to reach us, see our contact page.
Report a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us. Each report helps us fix the problem for the next family too.
Please tell us:
- the page address from your browser's address bar, or the name of the page;
- what you tried to do, and what went wrong;
- if you know them, your device, your browser and any assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader or zoom software.
Email info@setebaidservices.org with "Website accessibility" in the subject line, or call (570) 524-9090.
We reply within 5 business days. If the problem stops you from registering or giving, we help you by phone or email while we fix it.
We use the information in your report only to answer you and to fix the problem. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
How we check the site
- Before launch, we test the site with automatic checking tools and by hand: with a keyboard only, with a screen reader, and with the screen zoomed in.
- When we add or change a page, we check that page again.
- We review this statement at least once a year.
The last full check was in October 2026, before the new site launched.
