What the week includes

Everything your child needs for a week at camp

The camp fee covers the whole week.

  1. Seven days, six nights

A full overnight week at camp, from Sunday, July 11 to Saturday, July 17, 2027.

  2. Care around the clock

Medical staff on site day and night. Night checks catch a low while your child sleeps. How we care for your child

  3. A diabetes doctor in charge

A pediatric endocrinologist leads the medical team as medical director.

  4. Meals with the carbs counted

Dietitians plan the meals and count the carbs, so each insulin dose can match what your child eats.

  5. A bed, meals and every activity

Cabin lodging, all meals and snacks, and every camp activity are part of the fee.

  6. A week with kids like them

Every camper has diabetes. For one week, checking blood sugar is normal, and nobody has to explain their pump or CGM.

Campers share a meal at round tables in the camp dining hall.

What camp costs

A week at camp costs us about $3,700 per camper

That is the real cost of one camper's week: medical staff day and night, a medical team led by a diabetes doctor, dietitians, a bed in a cabin, all meals and every activity.

Setebaid is a nonprofit camp for kids and teens with diabetes. Donors, local businesses and fundraising events pay the difference, so families pay far less than the full cost.

A lower price does not mean less camp. Every child gets the same week, the same care and the same activities, whatever their family pays.

Four tiers, one camp.

Tier I is what a week of camp really costs. Donors cover the difference for every other tier, so you can choose the one that fits your family.

Tiers I–III: you choose

It is an honor system, and your tier stays private. We ask every family who can pay Tier I to do so. Each Tier I family helps keep camp within reach for another family.
