Cookie policy

Which cookies and tools this website uses, what each one does, and how to turn them off. We use no advertising cookies.

Last updated: October 2026

This policy covers setebaidservices.org, the website of Setebaid Services, Inc. Setebaid is a nonprofit camp for kids and teens with diabetes.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. When you come back, the website can read the file again, for example to remember a setting.

A website can also save small items in your browser without a cookie, in local storage or in session storage. Local storage stays until you clear it. Session storage is deleted when you close the tab. This policy covers cookies, local storage and session storage.

The short version

  • Most pages on this site set no cookies.
  • We use no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels, such as a Facebook or Google Ads pixel.
  • We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, a tool that uses no cookies.
  • To remember which QR-code card or link brought you, the site saves one item in session storage. It holds no personal details, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
  • An entry on our forms can show that a child has diabetes. We treat every form entry as private health information. We send no form answers to our visitor counts, and we put no ad tracking on form pages or on the pages behind our QR-code cards.
  • This site shows no cookie banner, because it sets no cookies that need your consent.

Cookies and tools on this site

The table lists every cookie and tool on this site. Before launch, our web team checks the list on the live site. We check it again after each change to the site.

Cookies and tools on setebaidservices.org
ToolWhat it doesWhat it saves in your browser, and for how longWho runs it
Visitor countsCounts visits to each page, which QR-code card or link brought each visit, taps on our Call and Email buttons, and sent requests. We use the counts to see which events help families find camp. It does not identify you, does not follow you to other sites, and never receives your form answers.Nothing. The tool uses no cookies. Our host keeps a visit marker for 24 hours at most, then deletes it.Vercel Web Analytics, from our website host Vercel
QR-code cards and campaign linksEach QR-code card and campaign link has its own name: the source. The site remembers the source while you read other pages, so a request you send later still shows which card brought you. The site also removes the source from the address bar, so a link you copy is clean. One session storage item, "setebaid-visit-source". It holds only the name of the card or page that brought you, for example "chop-nurses", and no personal details. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.Setebaid
Videos from YouTubePlays camp videos. The YouTube player loads only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.Nothing until you press play. After you press play, YouTube can save its own cookies and local storage items. Google's cookie policy (link below the table) gives their names and how long they stay. Google (YouTube)
Form spam protectionStops automatic spam on our forms.Nothing. The forms use a hidden field that only automatic programs fill in. Our server also refuses more than five requests in ten minutes from one internet address. It holds the address only in its working memory, never in a database.Setebaid
Packing listOn the Before camp page, remembers which items you ticked on the packing list, so your list is still there when you come back.Local storage in your browser. It stays until you clear your browser data. It never leaves your device, and we cannot see it.Your browser only
Website securityOur host can check that a visitor is a person and not an automated attack.A security cookie, only when this check runs. It stays for a short time.Vercel, our website host
Staff previewLets Setebaid staff see draft pages before they go live. Visitors never get these cookies.Preview cookies, for example "__prerender_bypass". They stay until the staff member ends the preview or closes the browser. Setebaid

Why there is no cookie banner

A cookie banner asks for your consent before a site sets optional cookies, such as advertising cookies. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, so it does not show a banner. If we add a tool that needs your consent, we will ask for it first and update this page.

Other sites we link to

Some buttons take you to other sites, for example to register for camp or to give. These sites set their own cookies, and their own policies apply. We do not control them.

How to turn cookies off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. These help pages show how:

If you block cookies, every page and every form on this site still works. Videos may not play, because YouTube uses its own cookies.

Our visitor counts use no cookies, so there is no cookie to turn off. A content blocker in your browser can also stop the counts.

To clear your packing list, delete the site data for setebaidservices.org in your browser settings.

To delete the record of which card or link brought you, close the tab.

Browser privacy signals

Some browsers send a privacy signal, such as Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track". Our privacy policy says how this site responds to these signals.

Changes to this policy

When we add or remove a cookie or tool, we update this page and the date at the top.
