Before you start

Have these ready.

Registration goes faster when you have these at hand before you open Camp Brain.

  1. About 30 minutes

Set aside about 30 minutes for each child. A computer or a phone both work.

  2. Your child's details

Your child's name, birth date and address, a parent's phone number and email, and the name of your child's diabetes doctor and details on their diabetes treatment plan. The physical form comes later, after you register.

  3. A card for the $200 deposit

A $200 deposit holds your child's place. It counts toward your camp fee. It cannot be refunded or moved to another camper.

After May 15, 2027, a $50 late fee is added. Refund requests must reach us in writing by May 15, 2027, at noon ET. Read the refund policy.

  4. Vaccinations up to date

All CDC-recommended vaccinations must be up to date before you pay the deposit. See what camp needs before camp.

  5. Your price

Donors cover most of the cost, so families pay far less than the full cost. Financial help is available.

You choose the tier that fits your family in Camp Brain. See dates and prices or apply for financial help.

How to register

Seven steps, start to finish.

These are the steps for a new family in Camp Brain. Stuck on a step? Call the office and we will go through it with you.

  1. 01

    Open Camp Brain

Select Register anywhere on our website. Our sign-up site on Camp Brain opens in a new tab.

  2. 02

    Create your family account

Use the email you check most. Camp Brain sends your confirmation and reminders to that address.

  3. 03

    Add your camper

Enter your child's details. If two children are coming to camp, add each one.

  4. 04

    Choose the program

Pick HDYC or Camp Setebaid (let staff know if you are interested in the Counselor-in-Training program) for July 11–17, 2027.

  5. 05

    Answer the questions

Answer the questions on all the forms. One question asks how you heard about us. Please tell us who sent you, such as a nurse, a doctor or another parent, so we can thank them.

  6. 06

Pay the $200 deposit & select a payment plan

Pay by card to hold your child's place. The deposit counts toward your camp fee. Then choose how you will pay the rest.

  7. 07

    Check your email

Camp Brain sends a confirmation email. Keep it: it shows that your child is registered.

Coming back to camp?

Log in to Camp Brain with the account you used before. If you cannot open your camper's profile, call the office and we will fix it.

After you register

You're in. Here is what happens next.

  1. Your confirmation email

    • A few minutes after you pay the deposit, Camp Brain sends a confirmation email that names your child and the program along with a copy of a physical form for your child’s doctor to fill out later.

    • Not in your inbox? Check your spam folder, then call the office.

  2. Forms, packing and drop-off

    • In the spring, we will follow up with any questions on the medical forms. Physical forms, to be completed by your child’s endocrinologist, are due by June 5, 2027. The Before camp page has the forms list, the packing list and the drop-off details.

    Get ready for camp
  3. The rest of your fee

    • The balance of your fees are due before the start of camp. You can choose to pay in full at registration, monthly, or defer until May 17, 2027. If paying becomes hard, talk to us early. Financial help is available.

  4. Not sure it worked?

    • Call the office at (570) 524-9090. We can check your child's registration in Camp Brain while you are on the phone.

If camp is full

Join the waitlist.

Camp has room for about 80 campers. When a camp is full, you can still join the waitlist in Camp Brain.

  1. How you join

You join the waitlist in Camp Brain, the same way you register, and enter a card to pay a deposit - but won’t be charged until a spot is open.

  2. If a place opens

We offer open places in the order families joined the waitlist. We contact you by email and phone.

  3. If no place opens

Your card is not charged and you owe nothing.
