Year-end campership campaign 2026

Send a kid with diabetes to camp next summer.

Setebaid is a nonprofit camp for kids and teens with diabetes. Medical staff on site day and night. Donors cover most of the cost, so families pay far less than the full cost. Financial help is available.

Why this campaign

One week changes how a kid lives with diabetes.

At camp, a child with diabetes is finally not the only one. Every camper checks blood sugar, counts carbs and takes insulin, so nobody stares and nobody has to explain. Medical staff on site day and night keep it safe, and the kids learn to manage more of their own care by watching each other.

A week at camp is worth about $3,700 for each camper. Families choose the price they can pay, and the Campership Fund covers the rest for the families who need it most. Nobody at camp knows who pays what.

The year-end campaign fills that fund before registration opens in the new year. Your gift now is the reason a family can say yes in January and a child can be at camp in July. (Setebaid to confirm the dates)

What your gift pays for (Setebaid to confirm the values)

  • $150: a week of lodging for one camper
  • $525: one full day of camp
  • $1,850: half a week at camp
  • Any amount helps a child come to camp

At camp, I liked having help managing my diabetes and counting carbs. I didn't feel like I was being talked down to or lectured.
