What to Bring to Summer Camp

What to Pack for Your Child for Camp

  • T-Shirts
  • Shorts
  • Jeans and long pants
  • Sweatshirts and Sweatpants
  • Jacket
  • Raingear
  • Something to Wear to Bed (Shorts & T-Shirts work well)
  • Hats
  • Bathing Suit and Beach Towel
  • Sneakers and Sturdy Shoes (at least two pairs)
  • Flip-Flops and/or shower/Pool Shoes (note-flip flops may only be worn to bath house and pool)
  • Bathing Items
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, etc.)
  • Bag to carry things to shower house (one that hangs is best!)
  • Towels and washcloths (Unless you ordered linens, then these will be provided.)
  • Clothing/t-shirt for your cabin color- blue, yellow, red, or green. Please see cover letter with cabin name/color.

Other Important Things to Send with Your Camper

  • Water Bottle
  • Bedding And/or sleeping bag (Unless you rented linens)
  • Pillow and pillow case (if you rented linens, a pillow case will be provided but you WILL NEED A PILLOW)
  • Sunglasses
  • Insect Repellent and Sunscreen
  • Writing Paper and Envelopes with Stamps
  • Camera
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Prescriptions, open insulin (open vials  expire 30 days after opening)
  • Pump supplies (reservoirs, infusion sets, batteries etc.  We are unable to provide our campers with pump supplies)
  • CGM’s and supplies (we cannot be responsible for loss/damage to CGM systems, please pack at your own discretion! We also do not have CGM supplies at camp)

Things You May Choose to Pack for Your Child for Camp

  • Items for the Camp Theme (these will be announced in a letter prior to camp)
  • Playing Cards or a book for quiet time

What NOT to Pack for Your Child for Camp

  • Electronic Items (e.g. MP3 Players, Games, iPods, etc.)
  • Cell Phones
  • Pets
  • Food
  • Any type of Weapon (e.g. knives, guns-including toy guns, or anything which could be perceived to be a weapon)
