What to Bring to Summer Camp
What to Pack for Your Child for Camp
- Socks
- Underwear
- T-Shirts
- Shorts
- Jeans and long pants
- Sweatshirts and Sweatpants
- Jacket
- Raingear
- Something to Wear to Bed (Shorts & T-Shirts work well)
- Hats
- Bathing Suit and Beach Towel
- Sneakers and Sturdy Shoes (at least two pairs)
- Flip-Flops and/or shower/Pool Shoes (note-flip flops may only be worn to bath house and pool)
- Bathing Items
- Toiletries (toothbrush, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Bag to carry things to shower house (one that hangs is best!)
- Towels and washcloths
- Clothing/t-shirt for your camper's color- blue, yellow, red, or purple. Please see cover letter with cabin name/color.
Other Important Things to Send with Your Camper
- Water Bottle
- Bedding And/or sleeping bag (Unless you rented linens)
- Pillow and pillow case (if you rented linens, a pillow case will be provided but you WILL NEED A PILLOW)
- Sunglasses
- Insect Repellent and Sunscreen
- Writing Paper and Envelopes with Stamps
- Camera
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Prescriptions, open insulin (open vials expire 30 days after opening)
- Pump supplies (reservoirs, infusion sets, batteries etc. We are unable to provide our campers with pump supplies)
- CGM’s and supplies - We encourage you to send your camper's CGM and ask you to send extra supplies as CGMs often need to be changed more frequently at camp. (Please note: we cannot be responsible for loss/damage to CGM systems; we do not have CGM supplies at camp)
Things You May Choose to Pack for Your Child for Camp
- Items for the Camp Theme (these will be announced in a letter prior to camp)
- Playing Cards or a book for quiet time
What NOT to Pack for Your Child for Camp
- Electronic Items (e.g. MP3 Players, Games, iPods, etc.)
- Pets
- Food
- Any type of Weapon (e.g. knives, guns-including toy guns, or anything which could be perceived to be a weapon)
