Rich in history, Camp Setebaid was founded over 42 years ago! Thousands of campers have benefited from an exciting camp…and now you can see for yourself the benefits of this great summer camp for children with diabetes!

Camp Setebaid® at Mount LutherExclusively for youth with diabetes ages 7*-14, Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther offers age-specific summer camp programs which allow campers to feel at ease and accepted in a community where having diabetes is the norm, not the exception.
Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther is held in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, just 45 minutes East of State College and a little over an hour and a half Northeast of Altoona.
This summer will prove to be an incredible experience for Camp Setebaid campers!
Exciting outdoor activities, lifetime memories, new friendships, and independence away from home make Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther the summer fun all children want to return to.
Exclusively for youth with diabetes ages 7*-14, Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther offers age-specific programs that allow campers to feel at ease and accepted in a community where having diabetes is the norm, not the exception.
Under skilled medical supervision, campers also learn to better understand diabetes and the process of self-management by checking their blood-glucose levels, administering insulin, and recording results.
As campers participate in daily events, they will gain new confidence in managing diabetes while maintaining an active lifestyle.
But don’t worry, we have no classes at Camp Setebaid! Everything you learn, you pick up from the daily activities.
The one similarity…every program is FUN!
Specific activities at Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther include:
- Archery
- Arts & Crafts
- Cabin Wars
- Campfires & Camp Songs
- Canoeing
- Court Games: Basketball, and Gaga
- Field Games: Soccer, Baseball
- Frisbee Golf
- Hiking
- Nature Lore
- Low Ropes Course
- Swimming (in pool)
- Volleyball
7 year-old campers must be able to check their own blood sugar & have their doctor confirm their ability. Please contact the camp office for more information.
