Summer Camp Leadership

Every staff member who volunteers at camp fulfills an essential role in serving our campers with Type 1 Diabetes. Whatever responsibility they might have, camp leadership is essential in ensuring, a safe, educational, and fun week for our summer campers.

Counselor:
Counselors work directly with campers and ensure the campers have the best week of their summer.

Senior Counselor:
Senior Counselors have previous experience at camp and ensure the cabin works together as a team throughout their week at camp.

Head Counselor:
Head Counselors are experienced professionals who coach Senior Counselors, Counselors, and campers as needed.

Counselor-In-Training Director:
The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Director mentors a select group of 16 & 17 year old campers through additional camp programs meant to build maturity & leadership.

Camp Director:
The Camp Director works hand-in-hand with all other camp staff members (counselors, medical team, dietitians, etc) to make sure summer camp is a fun & safe experience for everybody.
