Camper Fees:

As everyone has been affected by large inflation over the past year, so have our diabetes camps.  We have seen increases from everything used by our organization from food to insurance.  Some of our supplies have increased over 40% this year.

Setebaid Services, like many diabetes camps across the US, continues to subsidize camp to allow more families to benefit from the diabetes camp.  We also provide camperships to those in-need; both the subsidy and camperships come from the Setebaid Campership Fund.

Every child with diabetes may receive a partial scholarship from the Setebaid Campership Fund.

Camp fees are charged on a Tier-based system.  The subsidized fee will include a partial scholarship from the Setebaid Campership Fund to reduce the Camp Fee from the full cost (Tier I) to the Tier II, III or IV level.  For example, the actual full cost of a week of diabetes camp, depending on the camp is between $3,300 and $3,225 per camper, but after applying the automatic “Living With Diabetes Partial Campership”, the camp fee each family may elect to pay per camper may be reduced to Tier II or Tier III Levels.  This reduced fee is made possible by donations and sponsorships to the Setebaid Campership Fund from caring donors, foundations, and community members.

For families who need additional support, we offer Tier IV, the “Sliding Scale Fee Application” or “Financial Assistance Application” programs.  Tier IV programs are income-based programs which assure camp is available for every child living with diabetes and no child is ever turned away.

Why Do Families Need to Apply for Tier IV?

The Sliding Scale Fee and Financial Assistance programs are in place to assure our donors we are appropriate stewards of their donations.  The programs were developed to assure our donors their gifts are shared equitably with families most in-need.  Our Campership Fund May Be Able To Assist You.
